Strip 79 of Tales of Pieutira: The Zander Adventure
I've decided to change the release time for Tales of Pieutira to 4PM instead of 7PM. 4PM means that those who follow can read the new strip once they're out of school, and my friends and fans in the US will be able to read them when they catch their lunch break. It seems a more reasonable time in my eyes. Let me know if you agree with this.
The trick is that, while I pencil out everything at the same time, I have two different steps with inking. Firstly, I ink over all the characters first, and when the ink is dry, I'll then do the backgrounds. It allows me to get to grips with my environments, and allows me to create the 3D effect that everyone's talking about.
Pretty flattering that people are saying that I can make 2D line work look 3D... It's a nice feeling to know I've accomplished something like that.

Visions are worth fighting for. If you know what you want for your comics, stick to it above all else. Don't let editors tell you what's wrong with your work: editors are not writers.

See you at the movies...animated movies, that is!
